Understand Trauma and it’s impact on you.
Experience validation as you realize your responses, reactions, and struggles make sense based on what you have been through. There is nothing wrong with you. Feel less shame.
Nervous System Regulation
Learn all about your autonomic nervous system and its role and function in your life. Understand your triggers and trauma responses. Know when you are triggered and learn what to do to come back into regulation. Feel safe within again.
Emotional Regulation
Know the difference between emotions and feelings. Learn how to validate your feelings and welcome them without judgement or shame. Know what to do when big or uncomfortable emotions come. Create space between you and what you feel. Gain valuable insight for them to help improve your wellbeing.
INNer child healing/parts work
Reconnect to your authentic self and with the parts of you that are wounded and need healing. Get to know your unique inner system and how your protective and vulnerable parts are showing up in your life.
Somatic exercises
Reconnect to your body and utilize body based techniques based on science that will help you relax, and come into regulation (tolerable place), and help move traumatic stress through your body. As you recognize the bodies cues and meet its needs you will see a reduction in symptoms.
Other topics include:
Self care, boundaries, people-pleasing, self-compassion, enmeshment, and focusing on strengths. You will be equipped and empowered to know how to help yourself move through challenges, stressors, and relational difficulties.
Principles that guide my work

Creating an environment that feels safe is absolutely essential in any kind of healing work, especially Trauma. When our bodies feel safe and can learn to relax that is where healing can truly begin. Ways that I create safety in sessions are:
Being attuned and attentive, listening, asking clarifying questions, showing empathy, and compassion. I am sensitive with material shared as to not re-traumatize my clients. I am making sure that everything about our time together feels comfortable to you. If there is anything about our time that makes you feel unsafe or is not working we will change it to suit your preferences.

Having the sense that some cares, shows concern for us without judgement is so important. Compassionate care sees the heart of the person in front of them with gentleness and kindness. I don’t make assumptions about you or the things you share. I allow curiosity to guide me. I will hold compassionate space for all parts of your story.

I help empower my clients by collaborating with them. I do not try to fix things, over advice give, or tell them what to do. But rather I help them notice the patterns, help them realize their own answers and help them find new resources for their journey. One of our greatest tools for growth is regaining where our locus of control is, and that is over ourselves.
My Coaching Philosophy
I am working from the standpoint as a fellow human who doesn’t have it all together, who still struggles herself. I see a Therapist regularly and believe in teaching and sharing things that I practice personally, as I am doing the work of healing in my own life. I believe that learning and growing from our pain is what helps move us towards resiliency. Making sense of our stories, in a safe and supportive way is what helps us heal and truly live the lives we want to live.
I believe that people have more answers and wisdom for their life than they realize. The client is the expert on them. My job as the coach is to help guide each person to find the capacity within to learn to listen to that inner voice and the God-given wisdom placed inside them. I believe that most change starts internally and naturally makes it way out into our behaviors, habits, and actions.

What is Trauma-Informed Care?
It is compassionate care that is focused on creating a safe, secure, supportive relationship and environment for people based on trust, transparency, collaboration, choice and empowerment.
It seeks to ask, “What do you need to feel safe? What I can I do to help you feel more comfortable?” It takes into considerations peoples backgrounds, cultures, beliefs and adversities. It seeks to do no further harm. It is not behavior focused, nor uses “labels”. It seeks to help individuals understand that they are not broken or defective, but to make sense of the way their brains and bodies are adapting to what’s happened to them.
Trauma-informed care is helping people to live the lives they want to live, while building skills for life and resilience.
